Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

Education:
5 years at higher technical colleges in the fields of “Electronics” or “Computer Engineering”

Key curriculum subjects:
Hardware Development / Measurement & Control Systems / Digital Systems & Computer Technology / Network Technology / Communications Electronics / Software Engineering / Electronics Design / Prototype Construction

Additional knowledge:
SMD Technology / Digital Technology / Manufacturing Technology / PCB Design

Practical experience:
School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies

Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Software Engineering or comparable qualification

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Development, integration, and optimization of embedded and automotive computing architectures (SoCs, V-E-P, ECU/RCU designs)
* Design and implementation of software stacks for autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and infotainment
* Development of ECU drivers, system interfaces (CAN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet), and middleware
* Performance tuning, resource planning, safety (ASIL-compliant implementation), and troubleshooting in real-time systems
* Collaboration with hardware, software, and test teams, conducting verifications, debugging, and commissioning
* Creation of technical specifications, designs, module descriptions, and test interfaces
* Support with validation, simulation, software OTA updates, and lifecycle management

skills_and_requirements
A - Solid experience in automotive computing and embedded systems B - Solid experience in real-time operating systems, and software architectures C - Knowledge of C/C++, Python, and scripting languages; experience with AUTOSAR is advantageous D - Experience with automotive communication (CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet) E - Experience with toolchains (GCC, Clang, JTAG/DAP, debugging tools) F - Familiarity with safety standards (ASIL, ISO 26262) & guidelines for software quality management G - Strong problem-solving skills, team player mentality & good communication skills H - Willingness to collaborate in international, interdisciplinary teams I - Ideally, driving experience in the automotive sector J - Good German & English language skills
