QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical schools or 5 years in higher technical institutions in "Electrical Engineering", "Mechanical Engineering", "Mechatronics" or "Civil Engineering"
Subjects - Electrical Engineering: Energy Systems / Automation Technology / Drive Technology / Industrial Electronics / Applied Computer Science / Production Technology / Computer-aided Project Management
Subjects - Mechanical Engineering: Design & Project Management / Mechanics & Machine Elements / Manufacturing & Production Technology / Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology
Further knowledge: CAD (Computer Aided Design) and - depending on the training field - CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) software
Practical experience: School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational option:
Technical Draftsman -> Apprenticeship
Completed Technical Training (e. g. Technical Draftsman / Technical Product Designer) or studies in the relevant field
ACTIVITIES:
* Creation, adapting and maintenance of 2-D and 3-D designs and bills of materials (e. g. in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, CATIA)
* Derivation of manufacturing and assembly documents, drawings and work plans
* Participation in the creation of technical documentation as well as documentation compliant with norms and standards
* Processing of change requests (ECOs = Engineering Change Orders) in coordination with Development, Production and Quality
* Support in design reviews, approvals, and technical testing of components
* Collaboration with Purchasing, Production, Quality and Service to ensure manufacturability
* Maintenance of component and assembly data in the PDM (Product Data Management) / PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system
