QUALIFICATION: 
4 years apprenticeship = extension of 3 years apprenticeship for "Carpenter" with focus on specific areas to train well-educated skilled workers who can also be deployed as leaders with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in technical, organizational and planning domains
Key facts for this focus:
Planning & Preparing of manufacturing starting with careful selection of materials and auxiliary materials / Safely identifying of defects and errors in the materials / Accurately preparing of work with necessary knowledge in creating bills of materials and in cutting optimization / Good knowledge & skills in troubleshooting machine malfunctions and in machine maintenance (cleaning, supplying with operating materials, lubricating etc.) for smooth production processes 

Completed apprenticeship in Carpentry / Joinery or comparable qualification - ideally with a focus on production

ACTIVITIES:
* Planning, organizing, and controlling the production of wood and wood-based products
* Monitoring production processes, capacity planning, and material flow
* Involvement in the production process from raw material inspection to the finished product
* Creation of work and production instructions, maintaining parts lists and quantity schedules
* Quality control before, during, and after production; error analysis and continuous improvement
* Operation, setup, and maintenance of production machinery (e.g., milling machines, edge-banders, including CNC machines)
* Collaboration with purchasing, design, and assembly to optimize costs, quality, and delivery dates
* Support in planning maintenance and repair measures
