Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

Education:
5 years at business schools specializing in Logistics Management

Key curriculum subjects:
Business Administration / Accounting / Business Informatics / Law / Economics / Project Management / Office Management / Logistics Management / Foreign Languages

Practical experience:
School-owned workshops as well as through multi-week mandatory internship in companies

Educational option:
1 – Logistics Manager -> University / University of Applied Sciences

Completed degree or training in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or comparable qualification

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Planning, controlling, and optimizing all logistics processes (goods receipt, warehousing, order picking, shipping)
* Responsibility for inventory management, KPI tracking (inventory turnover, delivery reliability, cost per shipment), and continuous process improvement
* Design and implementation of logistics projects (e.g., introduction of a warehouse management system, supply chain optimization)
* Coordination with purchasing, sales, production, hazardous materials, and customs clearance (if relevant)
* Budget responsibility, cost control, and development of optimization proposals
* Negotiation with logistics service providers, contracts, and price negotiations
* Preparation of reports, forecasts, and regular stakeholder communication
* Preparation and support of audits (ISO 9001/related standards)

skills_and_requirements
A - Several years of professional experience in logistics/supply chain functions B - Ideally, practice with management responsibility C - Sound knowledge of warehouse management, transport logistics, network design D - Sound knowledge of key performance indicator (KPI) management and process optimization E - Proficient use of ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar) F - Ideally, good Excel & analytics skills G - Strong organizational skills, problem-solving orientation & assertiveness H - Teamwork ability and strong communication skills I - Class B driver´s license – Willingness to travel occasionally J - Fluent German and good English skills
