Metallic Materials Engineering – 5 years at higher technical institution in Eisenstadt (Austria) – key curriculum topics:
Design / Mechanics & Materials Mechanics / Materials Engineering & Materials Testing / Metallurgy / Project Management & Industrial Engineering / Surface Technology & Corrosion Protection / Welding Technology / Production Engineering
Embedded qualification: CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CNC (Computerized Numerical Control), Welding Technology
Practical experience: School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational options:
1 – Metal Technician - Metal Construction & Sheet Metal Technology -> Apprenticeship

Completed vocational training as Metalworker / Metal Fabricator / Toolmaker or comparable qualification
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assembly, disassembly, and joining of metal components according to drawings
* Welding, cutting, filing, drilling, and other machining and manufacturing activities
* Checking dimensional accuracy, fits, and visual inspections
* Pre- and final assembly, quality control, and documentation
* Collaboration with the production and assembly team to ensure timely order completion
