Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

Education:
3 years at vocational schools or 5 years at higher technical colleges in the fields of “Electronics” / “Computer Engineering” / “Electrical Engineering” or “Mechatronics”

Electronics – key curriculum subjects:
Hardware Development / Measurement Technology & Control Systems / Digital Systems & Computer Technology / Network Technology / Communications Electronics / Software Engineering / Electronics Design / Prototype Construction

Further knowledge:
SMD Technology / Digital Technology / Manufacturing Technology / PCB Design

Practical experience:
School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies


Educational option:
1 – PLC Programmer -> Studies at Universities / Universities of Applied Sciences

Completed technical education at Higher Technical Institute / University of Applied Sciences / Technical University or comparable qualification in Automation Technology / Electrical Engineering, or a related field

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Development, programming, and commissioning of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Brady, or Mitsubishi systems)
* Creation of logic and sequence programs according to technical specifications
* Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of automation processes
* Creation of documentation, measurement logs, and commissioning instructions
* Support during commissioning, acceptance testing, and, if necessary, remote or on-site operation
* Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and IT departments in projects
* Execution of tests, validation, and optimization of production processes
* Participation in the implementation of Industry 4.0 / IIoT solutions

skills_and_requirements
A - Sound PLC programming skills (at least 2–5 years) in S7, TIA Portal, WinCC/PCS 7 or similar B - Experience in on-site commissioning C - Basic knowledge of HMI/SCADA (e.g., WinCC, Zenon, Ignition) is advantageous D - Understanding of electrical schematics, drive technology (VFD, servo), and sensor technology E - Programming and debugging skills F - Independent, solution-oriented and structured work style G - Teamwork & strong communication skills, willingness to travel for on-site installations H - Good German & English skills
