Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

Education:
Bachelor´s and Master´s degree program in “Process Engineering” at the technical universities in Vienna & Graz (TU Vienna & TU Graz)

Available specializations & focuses – in the context of elective courses:

TU Graz:
Process Engineering – Bachelor – Plant & Process Engineering
Process Engineering – Master – Bio-based Materials & Fiber Technology

TU Vienna:
Process Engineering – Bachelor
Process Engineering – Master – Plant & Apparatus Construction
Process Engineering – Master – Chemical Engineering

Completed technical studies in Process Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Process Technology or a related field

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
* Operating, monitoring and optimizing paper and pulp processes (pelton, bucket, pressing, drying, and flocculation/cleaning processes, depending on the plant)
* Developing and implementing process control strategies, controlled variable and disturbance variable analyses, troubleshooting
* Ensuring product quality according to specifications, acceptance tests, and batch documentation
* Monitoring of plant status and maintenance and repair plans & coordinating with maintenance teams
* Operating and optimizing measurement and control technology (sensors, process control systems, automation)
* Supporting the commissioning of new systems, modifications, and relocations
* Implementing safety, environmental, and HACCP/IFS requirements, accident prevention, and occupational health and safety
* Documenting, reporting, and KPI reporting (productivity, scrap, energy, and raw material consumption)
* Participating in improvement and lean measures to save costs and resources
* Training employees and supporting production management

skills_and_requirements
A - Practical experience in paper and pulp production or comparable process industries B - Basic knowledge of process control systems (SCADA/PCS) and control technology C - Confident use of MS Office D - Analytical thinking, structured and solution-oriented approach E - Teamwork skills, reliability, and independent work style F - Physical resilience & safety awareness G - Willingness to work shifts (2 or 3 shifts) and on-call duties depending on the assignment H - Very good German & English skills
