Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

6 semester training as bachelor's degree program at Universities of Applied Sciences including the following key curriculum topics:
Anatomy / Physiology / Radiation Biology / Radiation Physics / Imaging Techniques & Image Analysis / Angiography & Interventional Methods / Cross-sectional Imaging / Device Technology / Medical Information Technology / Radiation Therapy / Nuclear Medicine 
 

  • This profession can only be practiced after completing the legally prescribed training
  • Professional activities are based on the legally prescribed training content
  • Registration in the “Register of Health Professions” is mandatory to practice this profession

Completed training as Radiology Technician (RTA) / Radiology Technologist (depending on the country: radiology technologist, radiology assistant) or a comparable specialized imaging qualification - further training in a management position is an advantage

ACTIVITIES:
* Performing radiological examinations (e.g., X-rays, fluoroscopy, and possibly CT or MRI preparation depending on qualifications)
* Operating and testing radiological equipment, imaging, and image quality assurance
* Preparation of patients, providing information, determining their position, and documenting findings in accordance with regulations
* Collaboration with physicians, medical assistants, and technical staff
* Adherence to hygiene, safety, and data protection standards
* Supporting the organization of the examination process, quality management, and, if necessary, participating in emergency response

A - In-depth knowledge of imaging procedures, imaging technology, standards & safety in radiology B - Additional qualifications in other imaging techniques are possible C - Friendly demeanour, teamwork ability, meticulous and independent work style D - Willingness to undertake further training and regular equipment training E - Good written and spoken German & English skills
