Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

 

Education:
Bachelor´s degree program (240 ECTS credits – min. 8 semesters) plus a Master´s degree program (120 ECTS credits – min. 4 semesters) offered as collaborative effort between Universities of Teacher Education (PH = Pädagogische Hochschulen), Universities and private Universities with a consortium of higher education institutions in each region for the full possible range of teacher training programs with one single enrollment


Master's degree must be obtained five years after completing a bachelor's degree being eligible for a permanent teaching position (according to Teacher Employment Act)


This profession can only be practiced after completion of the legally required training and professional activities are also based on the legally prescribed training content

 

Bachelor´s degree program for Secondary School Teaching:
Option 1 – 2 teaching subjects
Option 2 – 1 teaching subjects + 1 specialization (e. g. Inclusive Education)

 

Key curriculum subjects (university-depending):
Biology / Physical Education / German / Geography / Computer Science / Physics / Chemistry / Political Education / Religion / Various Foreign Languages  

 

State-recognized teaching qualification or comparable degree for Secondary General Education (e.g., Master's/M.Ed. for secondary levels I-II, depending on subject combination)

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
* Lesson planning, implementation, and follow-up in general education subjects (e.g., German, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Natural Sciences)
* Performance assessment, diagnostics, and individualized support of students
* Development and implementation of inclusive learning opportunities in cooperation with the support team
* Participation in curriculum development, school projects, and school events
* Collaboration with parents, colleagues & school administration
* Participation in committees (subject conferences, class leadership, transparency and quality processes)
* Pedagogical use of digital media and learning platforms
