Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber  

Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in "Anaesthesiology" with additional training in "Intensive Care Medicine" 

ACTIVITIES: 
* Anaesthesiological care of outpatients and inpatients before, during, and after surgical procedures
* Administration of regional anaesthesia, general anaesthesia, and emergency anaesthesia
* Monitoring and management of postoperative, shock therapy, and critical care situations
* Participation in perioperative risk stratification, pain management, and emergency care
* Interdisciplinary collaboration with surgery, radiology, intensive care medicine, nursing management, and other disciplines
* Participation in quality assurance, evidence-based practice, and clinical research
* Instruction, supervision, and continuing education of the medical team
* Supervision of specialists and assistant doctors 
* Documentation, billing, and compliance according to applicable guidelines
* Emergency care and on-call duty depending on the roster

skills_and_requirements
A - Practical professional experience (10+ years) in the specialist field B - Ideally, additional qualification in pain management / emergency care preferred C - Ideally, additional qualification in invasive sonography (e.g., POCUS) preferred D - Sound clinical decision-making skills and treatment competence in perioperative/intensive care E - Empathy, teamwork & clear communication skills F - Resilience, structured working methods, sense of responsibility G - Willingness to work collaboratively within a collegiate atmosphere H - Willingness to work shifts & weekend services, on call / emergency care depending on the roster I - Very good written and spoken German skills; English & further language skills advantageous
