Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber  

Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in "Internal Medicine" 

ACTIVITIES:
Professional management and implementation of internal medical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment of patients
* Inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on core internal medicine areas (e.g., cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, endocrinology, metabolic medicine, and intensive care medicine, depending on the specialty)
* Participation in case discussions, consultations, and interdisciplinary collaboration with radiology, the emergency department, intensive care medicine, surgery, nursing, and other disciplines
* Participation in quality assurance, evidence-based research, and clinical research
* Instruction, supervision, and further development of the medical team
* Teaching, continuing education, and coordination of internal continuing education programs
* Emergency care and on-call duty depending on the roster

skills_and_requirements
A - Practical professional experience (10+ years) in the specialist field B - Additional training in a specific area (cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology) desirable C - Sound, independent clinical decision-making skills and treatment competence D - Empathy, resilience, organizational & strong communication skills E - Willingness to collaborate in an interdisciplinary manner in a collegiate working environment F - Willingness to work shifts & weekend services, on call /emergency care depending on the roster G - Very good written and spoken German skills; English and further language skills advantageous
