QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber
Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in "Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine"
ACTIVITIES:
* Professional management and implementation of outpatient and inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents
* Diagnosis, treatment, and support of acute and chronic pediatric illnesses
* Participation in emergency care, pediatric emergency department, and perioperative care
* Participation in quality assurance, evidence-based research, and clinical research
* Instruction, supervision, and further development of the medical team
* Supervision of junior doctors and training and continuing education of specialists
* Interdisciplinary collaboration with radiology, cardiology, neurology, paediatric intensive care, psychosomatic medicine, nursing, and other disciplines
* Parental counselling, communication with children in an age-appropriate manner, informed consent
* Teaching, continuing education, and, if necessary, coordination of continuing education measures
