QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber
Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in “Psychiatry & Psychotherapeutic Medicine”
ACTIVITIES:
* Diagnosis, treatment, and support of patients with acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses
* Planning and implementation of individualized treatment concepts (inpatient and, if necessary, day-patient/outpatient)
* Application of evidence-based treatment methods (e.g., drug therapy, psychotherapeutic interventions, crisis intervention)
* Participation in clinical projects, quality assurance, and further development of treatment pathways
* Interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing, social services, psychotherapy, neurology, radiology, and social medicine
* Supervision, case discussions, and documentation in accordance with applicable regulations
* Participation in on-call services, case nurses as needed
