QUALIFICATION:
6 semester training as bachelor's degree program at Universities of Applied Sciences including the following key curriculum topics:
Anatomy / Linguistics / Psychology / Phoniatrics / Speech Therapy / Otolaryngology
The training is regulated by the Federal Act on the Regulation of Advanced Medical-Technical Services ("MTD Act")
Completed university degree or comparable training in the field of Speech & Language therapy (possible designations depend on the country) - Licensure or state recognition as Speech & Language Therapist or state-recognized/specialized qualification as Speech & Language Therapist
ACTIVITIES:
* Diagnosis, therapy planning, and implementation in the area of language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in children, adolescents, and adults
* Development of individual treatment goals and treatment plans, documentation of findings, therapy goals, progress, and need for changes
* Application of evidence-based therapy methods (e.g., neurofunctional/speech therapy approaches, phonatory techniques, voice therapy methods, early childhood language development)
* Advice to patients, relatives, and, if necessary, schools or institutions Interdisciplinary collaboration within the treatment team
* Participation in the development and implementation of rehabilitation concepts and preventive measures
* Ensuring hygiene, safety, and data protection standards
* Participation in regular team meetings, continuing education, and quality assurance
