Job Description

QUALIFICATION:

Education:

Combination of Bachelor´s & Master´s degrees are legally reserved for “Certified Surveying Engineer” / “Authorized Surveyor & Civil Engineer” – based on certain activities and requires specific training

Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz)

 

Educational option:
1 - Surveying & Geo-Information Technology -> Apprenticeship with selected focus on Surveying Technology or Geo-Information Technology

 

Completed vocational training as Survey Technician / Construction Draftsman with focus on Surveying or comparable qualification - Degree in Geodesy or Geo-Informatics is advantageous

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conducting surveys and location mapping (topography, as-built surveys, building surveys)
* Managing projects from initial measurements to as-built documentation
* Creating plans, reports, and documentation using standard surveying software
* Using modern measurement systems (total station, GNSS, laser scanner) including data-processing
* Supporting planning, tendering, and construction supervision
* Coordination with site managers, architects, authorities, and clients
* Quality assurance, data acquisition, verification, and archiving
* Participation in the digitization of geo-data and BIM/GIS integration

skills_and_requirements
A - Practical experience in terrestrial surveying, GNSS/total station surveying & data analysis B - Proficient use of specific surveying software & standard MS Office applications C - Basic knowledge of construction law, cartography, and geographic information systems D - Precise and independent work ethic, teamwork & strong communication skills E - Class B driver's license – Willingness to travel occasionally & work on construction sites F - Typically 38–40 hours/week - flexible scheduling depending on project phases G - Good German skills - additional language skills are an advantage
