TRACK CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATION:

Education: 3 years of apprenticeship

Completed vocational training in Track Construction / Civil Engineering or comparable qualification in Road Infrastructure / Railway Infrastructure / Construction/Concrete Technology

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performing construction and maintenance work on track systems (ballast bed, switches, superstructure)
* Supporting surveying and calibration work to ensure track geometry
* Monitoring quality, safety, and environmental standards on the construction site
* Coordinating subcontractors, material logistics, and on-site work processes
* Preparing work reports, defect reports, and documentation for the construction project
* Participating in the planning of repair and new construction projects
* Ensuring track closures, signaling, and overhead line safety in accordance with regulations
