QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical schools or 5 years at higher technical institutions, particularly in the field of “Wood Technology”
Further knowledge: CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Technology
Additional qualification: Forklift license (school-dependent)
Practical experience: School-owned workshops as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational options:
1 – Wood Technician -> Apprenticeship with modules
2 – Wood Technician -> Studies at University / University of Applied Sciences
Completed training in Wood Technology / Wood & Veneer Technologies / Woodworking or comparable qualification – alternatively relevant professional experience in the wood industry
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Planning, developing and testing woodworking processes and products
* Operating, maintaining, and optimizing woodworking machines (sawing, planing, milling, CNC milling, etc.)
* Controlling quality of intermediate and final products, documenting results
* Participation in the development of new wood materials, surface treatments, and coating processes
* Preparation of work, parts lists, quantity take-off, and workflow planning
* Compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and product protection regulations
* Collaboration with Production, Materials Management, Development and external service providers
