QUALIFICATION:

Education: 3 years at technical schools or 5 years at higher technical institutions in the fields of "Building Technology" or "Electrical Engineering"

Building Technology - Key curriculum topics:
Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) / Refrigeration / Plumbing

Electrical Engineering - Key curriculum topics:
Energy Supply / Plant Technology / Operational Technology / Process Control Technology

Practical experience:
School-owned workshops as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies

Educational option:
1 - Installation & Building Technician -> Apprenticeship with modules

Completed vocational training in the field of air conditioning, heating/ventilation/air conditioning as Conditioning Technician / HVAC Technician / Mechatronics Technician – Refrigeration Technology, or comparable qualification)

 ACTIVITIES:
* Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) on-site and in the workshop
* Troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration components
* Assembly of control cabinets, piping, heat exchangers, KNX/PLC controllers, and control technology
* Performing functional tests, measurements (e.g., temperature, pressure, airflow), and acceptance protocols
* Adjustment, calibration, and optimization of control and regulation systems
* Creation of documentation, test reports, and service reports
* Collaboration with installation, product support, and quality assurance teams
* Adherence to safety, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations
