QUALIFICATION:

The apprenticeship “Metal Technician – Metal Construction & Sheet Metal Technology” is part of the modular apprenticeship “Metal Technician” with totally 9 main modules and 4 specialization modules

3.5 years apprenticeship - in combination with an additional main or specialization module = 4 years duration

Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Forging Technology / Welding Technology / Safety Technology / Steel Construction Technology / Tool Making Technology / Machining Technology 
Specialization modules (optional):

Completed vocational training as Metal Technician / Metalworker / Locksmith or comparable qualification

ACTIVITIES:
* Planning, manufacturing, and assembly of metal and sheet metal components according to technical specifications
* Cutting, bending, folding, milling, drilling, welding, and other processing steps according to drawings
* Processing of sheet metal, profiles, and materials from various material groups
* Checking dimensional accuracy, fits, and surface quality; rework
* Creation and maintenance of production documentation, work plans, and test records
* Collaboration with production, assembly, and quality assurance to ensure on-time order fulfilment
* Maintenance and care of machines, tools, and testing equipment
