QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical schools in “Chemistry” as well as 5 years at higher technical institutions in “Chemical Engineering”
Focus on “Textile Chemistry” – Higher Technical Federal School and Research Institute (HTL) in Dornbirn – key curriculum topics:
 General & Inorganic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry & Quality Management / Organic Chemistry / Biochemistry & Microbiology / Textile Chemistry / Production Technology / Physical Chemistry / Process, Energy / Environmental Technology
Practical Experience: School-owned analytical and technological laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational option:
1 – Textile Chemist -> Apprenticeship 

Completed studies in Chemistry / Textile Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or a related field

ACTIVITIES:
* Development and optimization of chemical processes for textile production and processing (dyeing, bleaching, finishing, and refining)
* Formulating and testing of textile auxiliaries, dyes, and reactive chemicals
* Conducting material and product analyses (melt and solvent testing, strength and colour testing, and durability testing)
* Planning, conducting, and evaluating design-of-experiments (DOE) for process improvement
* Development of sustainable and environmentally friendly processes (reduction of water and energy consumption, minimization of waste)
* Preparation of test specifications, validation documents, and technical reports
* Collaboration with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Research & Development 
* Supporting certification preparation (e.g., ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX, Bluesign)
